Pain

Pain is debilitating whether it is acute or chronic pain. Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture offers a safe, non-invasive and effective therapy for the treatment and relief of pain.  It can be used alone or alongside other physical therapies. ACC stated in their 2011 report that ” there was emerging evidence that acupuncture may enhance/facilitate other conventional therapies (including physiotherapy & exercise-based therapies)”.

Acupuncture works via stimulating the energy (Qi) in the body, which will activate the flow of blood to the area of injury or pain, and initiate the healing process and relief of pain. There is considerable evidence that supports the claim that opioid peptides are released during acupuncture and that the analgesic effects of acupuncture are at least partially explained by their actions.
